This was a photo taken near the end of a jetty at Irvine Shorefront, Ayrshire. Walking down to this circular metallic plaque was a task due to the very high winds. Trying to keep the camera still proved difficult in the conditions but I think I did fairly well keeping the camera in line with the horizon, having a straight line without a tripod (it would have got blown away!)
I feel the disc adds an interesting feature to the lovely sunset that was there, although I have no idea what the circular disc reads as I wasn't hanging around getting blown about. Maybe on a calmer day I'll go back and see what it reads.
I only edited the colours and contrast slightly, to make the photo appear like what I saw that night. I have reduced Noise as well.
***EDIT***
Kodak DX6490 by hand
1/250 Sec
f2.8

Slight contrast, saturation enhancements in PSP 9. Noise reduced in Neat Image.
comments, feedback appreciated. Full view recommended.
*** I hated the old title, so I've retitled it a bit better
I like that orange/yellow/gold color you captured in the central clouds. I agree that the plate there adds to the image, but I can't quite figure out what, either. It reflects some of the colors. It's almost like serving the sky on a platter. o.O
neat you have a great angle on this that really adds interest, and draws the viewer to try and figure out what this is

This is exceptional. Tthe composition and the sight you present here is enough to call this an awesome photo! And I really wonder what the disc is there for. Looks like a manhole.
The more I look at it, the more I like it. You seem to have captured a really dramatic weather, threatening waves and distant clouds. And those colours of the sky are totally awesome. Reminds me of early spring days here in Norway, when it still is dark, but the Sun peaks and creates awesome sights in the sky. Absolutely great photo!! Gratulations!
Thanks for the comment.
No problem for the photomanip use. Just be sure to do the usual procedure and credit the source. You know that stuff anyway, so I won't rant and rave about it
